Hall Ed is very community oriented, proven by his faithful service and active participation in a wide range of business and civic organizations designed to meet the needs of the people and businesses in the Roanoke Valley. Downtown Roanoke Incorporated is among these organizations and Ed has been an active participant since 1971. He has held several positions, including President, Chairman of the Long Range Planning Committee and Chairman of the Economic Development Committee. He is the President of the Foundation for Downtown Roanoke, as well as the past Chairman of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. Ed is chairman of the Business Leadership Fund (PAC), and serves on the Jefferson Center Foundation Board of Trustees. He has served as Director of the National Association of Realtors, President of both the Virginia Association and Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, President of the Virginia Chapter of SIOR, Chairman of the Roanoke Valley Development Foundation, and numerous committees on local, state, and national levels. He is currently a member of the Real Estate Circle of Excellence at Virginia Commonwealth University.
